Facilitating peaceful resolution to disagreements and disputes.
There often comes a time during divorce or afterward where key agreements are stalemated, where the negotiation process begins to breakdown. Whether determining a parenting plan, a change to a parent plan, support issues or division of property, you may need a neutral third party to assist you as individual parties or with your attorneys to come to agreement.
Mediation is the solution.
Benefits of Mediation:
· Resolve disputes peacefully
· Create meaningful agreement for all parties
· Learn skills to resolve future disputes
· Develop a model to handle future disagreements
· Restore relationships
How does mediation work?
· Mediation provides a confidential setting with the mediator as a neutral party to facilitate agreement.
· Both parties have equal opportunity for their issues and concerns to be heard.
· An agenda will be created covering issues important to both parties.
· Communication will be clarified setting the stage for finding solutions.
· Each issue will be addressed.
· Possible solutions will be discussed by brain storming options, understanding concerns and being creative until a satisfactory agreement can be crafted.
· Both parties create the solution that fits for their specific situation.
· Specific binding agreements for each issue will be written, detailing who will do what, where, how, and by what date.
